Asthma Mural
Target group: all
Supplies: roll of paper; pictures of Puff, trigger collage, inhalers etc.
Activity
Over the six sessions, create a large wall mural using pictures to emphasize and reinforce the main components of asthma management.
Ask some children to present the mural to their teachers and parents, describing what each item is and why it is important.
For example:

Start with a large picture of Puff and indicate that the mural is about the Roaring Adventures of Puff; list the asthma wishes discussed in RAP Session 1.

Post the trigger collage made in Session 2 and have one of the students draw the airways.

Draw the inhaler devices and list their actions or post the steps to take your inhaler for Session 3.

Post an asthma action plan for Session 4.

Post pictures of how Puff feels to have asthma and describe how Puff can make his concerns less worrysome for Session 5.
This gives the school staff and students a visual appreciation of what the students learned during the RAP program and acts as an asthma awareness tool for the school.
