- Asthma Charades
Asthma Charades
Target group: older, active
Aim: To encourage use of imagination, creativity and communication skills and to familiarize children with asthma related topics.
Supplies: a list of various asthma related acting charades, paper and pencils, hat/bag.
Activity
- This game is played in the same manner as acting charades.
- Players draw a charade from a hat/bag.
- They are allowed thirty seconds to decide how they will act out their charade.
- Players act out various asthma symptoms, triggers, medication devices, etc, according to the charade on the list.
- Once the charade has been guessed, the group will have to give additional information about the charade, such as why it is meaningful to a person with asthma.
For example, an “act out a cat” charade will require the group to say why cats have to be avoided.
