Bell Ringer Trivia

Target group: any age

Supplies: questions, bells or buzzer system, scoring system

Activity

  • Divide the group into teams or individual players.
  • Ask each question. The team that rings its bell first gets to respond.
  • If answered correctly, the team gets a point.
  • If answered incorrectly, a point is deducted and the other team has a chance to respond.
  • Discuss why they chose their answer and if there are other right answers.
  • The team with the most points is the winner of the game.

  3. True or false? Preventer medications work very fast.
  4. You are playing outside at recess and it gets very hard to breathe. What should you do?

  10. Preventer inhalers work on the swelling of the airway lining or on the muscles?
  11. True or false? You cannot play soccer if you have asthma.
  12. How can you tell if your inhaler is empty?
  13. True or false? You should hold your breath for 10 seconds after taking your puffer.
  14. You are going to your grandparent’s for the weekend and they have a cat and you know that cats are a trigger for your asthma. What should you do?
  15. What asthma zone are you in if you are feeling great and have no coughing or wheezing?
