- Medication Relay
Medication Relay
Target group: active
Supplies: blue and orange inhaler designs, cut-out of Bristol board and laminated; paper and pen for score-keeping
Activity
- Students are divided into 2 teams.
- Each team had to line up a short distance in front of a set of blue and orange markers.
- The blue marker represented the reliever medication and the orange marker represented the preventer puffer.
- The facilitator will call out a statement such as “loosens tight muscles in the airways”.
- The first person in line from each team races up to the markers; picks up the marker (blue or orange) that corresponds to the statement and race back to their team.
- The first one back wins a point for their team if their markers are correct.
This idea came from the Ontario Public Health School Asthma Project.
