- Trigger Fingers
Trigger Fingers
Target group: quiet, younger
Supplies: trigger fingers (see below) copied for each student
Activity
- Cut out the square as indicated on the print out for the number of children you have in your group.
- Instruct the children to fold the square as directed to make the trigger fingers.
- Provide a demo, showing the children how they can play.
- In pairs, have them take turns using the trigger fingers.
- One child would choose a trigger on top.
- The other child would spell out the trigger moving their fingers for each letter to and fro.
- The trigger fingers will then be open to a group of trigger questions.
- The first child would pick a question and try to answer it correctly.
- The second child would look under the flap for the answer. If answered correctly, that child gets a point.
- The first child would then be asked to state one way that trigger could be avoided. If answered correctly, that child would also get a point.
- The children could also challenge their friends after the RAP sessions.
