Child Friendly Asthma Education: Building Capacity in Canadian Communities

In November 2010, the Alberta Asthma Centre completed a project funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada called "Child Friendly Asthma Education:  Building Capacity in Canadian Communities".  This four-phase project involved:

  • National consultation with 17 experts in childhood asthma and online learning
  • Revision and French translation of the Instructor's Guide and Toolkit and RAP Online Instructor's course
  • Recruitment of faculty and students for the pilot of the online instructor's course
  • A "summer session" of the revised course to 36 health care professionals
  • Project evaluation and dissemination
